A convoluted family saga – Chosen? by Mel Menzies

We are plunged into a multifaceted family intrigue that seems to have rather too many coincidences at first. As the plot thickens, we are drawn in on the excitement and left guessing time and again. The main characters are well-developed and the storyline thought-provoking.

Here and there psychological methodologies are woven in but the style is weak in places, such as unnecessary repetitions and explanations, where the reader would prefer to be allowed to work things out for himself. As with Time To Shine, we find ourselves POV-jumping throughout the chapters, which might add sparkle for some readers whereas others might find it difficult to cope with. The climax is divulged skillfully right at the end.
