Brave admission

Honesty Over Silence by Patrick Regan

It’s OK Not To Be OK

Suffering – whether it’s physical or emotional – is never easy. It’s particularly difficult to accept and understand as a Christian, when one knows God as a caring Father. Why does He let it happen? Why doesn’t He answer our prayers?

Patrick Regan and the people he mentions have seen more than their share of pain. And yet, paradoxically, in their dramatic adversities, they appear to gain a new confidence in God.

The subtitle of the book – It’s OK not to be OK – sums it up well. The narration is vivid and believable, but I found the weight of negative emotions rather overpowering.
